Introvert or Extrovert? Make It Work For You

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Clarity

One of the most interesting lines of questions I get is on why some of us don’t like being in the public or even just standing up for why we feel the way we do when faced with difficult situations. 90% of the people who ask me this are introvert in an extrovert situation and struggling.

So let’s explore what an introvert and extrovert are so you will better understand yourself – and make it work for you! As an introvert in an extrovert form of work I have been accused many times of being cold or stuck-up in public. It has not occurred to anyone that I may be struggling!

So what is the difference? Briefly, introverts expend energy just being with other people and need solitude to re-charge; they spend a lot of time thinking and little time talking; and are slow with verbal responses. Extroverts need the energy of others to thrive. Here I'm going to give some real life examples of these differences in relation to energy, interaction, emotion and thinking.

How to Tell if You Are Psychic, Intuitive or Sensitive.

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Clarity

I was asked a few great questions about how to identify yourself as being psychic, intuitive or sensitive in our last Guidance and Intuition Course class on Monday night. They’re questions I am often asked, and something people who are considering doing our Build Your Intuition Course or our Psychic Reading Course often ask, so I thought I’d share my perspectives on these questions with you.

New Year Chance to Move or Run?

Tagged in: Clarity

80% - that’s the percentage of questions I’m being asked at the moment either through online readings or in our channeling sessions about the possibility of moving. It’s no coincidence that we’re coming up to the end of the year with all of its psychological closure and the promise of possibility in the New Year.

It is a time when we look back at the year and assess how it went. And after providing guidance for over 20 years I can assure you that when our life is not going the way we need it to, or when we feel that everything in our immediate environment is hurting us or holding us back, many of us think that leaving this environment will provide us with the freedom we seek. But will it? You need to ask yourself - are you moving or running away?

Who do you know who honestly has your back? It’s a powerful question. If you had to identify those in your life that you could absolutely trust to back you if you needed it – how many people would there be?

What is Your Contribution vs Your Accountability?

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Clarity

We are often told to be accountable for our actions and our contribution to situations but what does this mean form a spiritual development perspective?

Often it is not until we:

  • risk losing something or someone;
  • have already lost something, someone or the respect of peers;
  • or just realise that our life is not going where we need it;

that we start to think about what our contribution and accountability is in life. Yet accountability and contribution are separate and here’s why.

Busting the Myth That Balance Creates Happiness

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Clarity

The Dalai Lama was recently in Australia for a series of ‘Happiness Conferences’ and it got me thinking. We are constantly told by lifestyle experts that we need to have balance in our lives, that there must be a perfect blend of family, friendships, employment, relaxation, hobbies and spiritual development; that if we do not have perfect balance between these we are not harmonious and happy.

What if this was a myth? What if, rather than balance being a cause of happiness, multiple factors meant that you created happiness by understanding your nature first, your environment second and how you thirdly nurture one in the other?

Challenge Your Limits If You Dare!

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Clarity

You may have seen that an Australian grandmother has just made a world record in the Cayman Islands, braving jellyfish, sharks and dangerous currents to swim for over 40 hours and 112 kilometres. Now most of us will never want to do this or couldn’t if we tried, but it got me thinking about the different limits we set ourselves in many aspects of our lives and how often or if we challenge them.

While asking for help, seeking clarity, questioning your beliefs or opening yourself to the many possibilities of the unknown may not be the physical equivalent of a shark-infested marathon swim, it can be just as terrifying and challenging to your logical and emotional intelligence given the potential impact it can have on your thinking and therefore your life.

Own Your Zone

I recently made a decision that may shock some of you. And it was that from now on I will not tone down any part of myself for anyone. The shocking part is that you thought I had anything that I ever held back – right?

In recent meetings and in teaching my courses I have realized that although I know my strengths, I haven’t always extended them to their fullest capacity when I am working in disciplines other than my core areas.

Should We Always Put Family First?

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Clarity

As we head toward Mother’s Day on Sunday here in Australia and reflect on our human response to the major catastrophes that have challenged many countries since the year began, I want to look at the concept of always putting family first vs the concept of the village looking after the individual.

I can hear your collective intake of breath when I even utter the thought that putting our family first does not always best serve our individual interests! Trust me – as a mother, daughter, sister and partner I am not asking you to abandon your families at all – rather I want you to think about the benefit of interacting and communicating as a village instead of always being so focused on our immediate family unit.
