As much as we love smooth waters, an Arab proverb states that smooth waters do not make skilful sailors. In this journey called life, the question is not, “Will storms arise?” Rather, the question is, “when will the next storm arise?” And even more important than that question is, “what type of person will I be when the next storm arises?” Find out which advanced life skills will help you most to navigate these sometimes treacherous waters.

Old Fears - New Approach

“The enemy is fear. We think it is hate; but, it is fear.” Mahatma Gandhi

“Worry gives a small thing a big shadow.” Dale Carnegie

I have always found that at this time of year – Christmas - people are both wanting to give from an abundant spirit and are crippled by a worry about not having enough for the following year.

For as much as there is Christmas joy there is also Christmas fear. The fear that Christmas is here yet again but where are we at in our lives now and for the New Year?

What is holding you back?

Whatever you answer, it will in many cases boil down to fear in some form.

Now, fear can be useful to keep yourself alive. But many times, especially if you live a life where you have the possibility of reading these words, fear is just a big obstacle in your path. But what can you do about fear? How can you overcome it?

What Makes You Resilient?

Posted by: julianna

Tagged in: Positive Change

As the year closes many of us look back and are amazed at what we coped with. I'm sure some of us faced our challenges well and others struggled.

I was thinking about what it is that keeps us going after Maree, our front woman of the business, asked me why I don't get very worried about things following a mildly frustrating day we had recently. For me the answer is actually in managing my expectations and those of others around me about what I am doing, being a part of or can contribute to. Share your thoughts on what makes you resilient.

“Hark” it’s getting close to Christmas! So many people contact me at this time of year because instead of seeing Christmas as a celebration, for them it’s a time of fear about how they will cope.

As a psychic and intuitive profiler I am often asked how the economy is going to change and how this should affect the decisions people make in terms of property, career moves, investments, life, children but in the lead up to Christmas, the questions focus on the impact this may have on their means to celebrate this season.

Learner vs Learned – Which Are You?

Posted by: Nicole

Tagged in: Positive Change

“In times of radical change, the learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves perfectly equipped for a world that no longer exists.” Eric Hoffer

It's Nicole here, Julianna's Business Partner. This quote was included in the quarterly magazine from my former high school and it stopped me in my tracks. While it definitely has an application in an educational context, it struck a chord with me because I felt that it reflected exactly my quest for my ideal of ‘total life stability’, what that means to me and the radical changes I feel I am going through to achieve it.

We probably all have an ideal in life that we’re trying to experience - but if we are constantly learning, should our concept of this also constantly evolve and change as we do? Is the journey of learning more important than the destination? If we consider that we know everything about something, are we missing out on more? Or are we learned if we put all our energy into creating one thing so much that we are lost once we do it because we never planned beyond it?
