As a teacher and practitioner in the Spiritual & Intuitive realm I always get asked why I work exclusively with my Guides and not with my Angels. The answer is simple: I do not believe that Angels guide us, but rather that they protect us. I believe that both Guides and Angels have specific purposes and as such they work together but do not necessarily overlap. Read on for more differences.
Let me explain and expand on the diagram I have drawn to demonstrate where I see various entities fitting.
Guides
Spirit has taught me that our Guides are pre-ordained to us before we come into this lifetime. Their job is to follow the Charter that we as a Soul determine before we come into this lifetime to action it. I also believe they follow the Charter of God, which is to assist humans in their capacity to constantly grow and evolve to better our planet, people, souls and legacies of human development.
I believe that Guides are souls who are well-trained in communication and have the capacity to move with ease, freedom and intelligence into many and any realms in their mandate to assist and guide us. They are not family or friends and as we evolve so do they. They assist us when we are passing over; they guide us to the plane we need to traverse in order for us to review our life and move forward on the Spirit plane. They leave us in the safe keeping of God so that we are prepared for our next journey. When we pass over they are then reviewed and begin the process of being allocated to another soul and they move into another plane to continue their own growth and evolution.
Angels
Angels are entities that are provided by God to protect, heal and love all beings. I do not believe that they guide us as humans and souls, but that their sole functions are to protect and love; to be the entities and system that offers a level of protection, healing, peace and love to us so that we may expand this to other humans. I believe that they look after our emotional and physical health by supporting us with inner strength when we are in pressed times and I also believe that they come to children and the young as they share a lighter and more stable frequency of communication.
Saints
I also believe that Saints share the same definition as Angels with one exception: my experience has been that they can at times offer guidance in a stressful situation that is not dissimilar to that offered by a Guide yet not as detailed as information from a Guide.
Random Souls
Random Souls (those Spirits that are neither Guides nor family or friends) have been included into my mix of entities as I have found that on many occasions a beautiful, intelligent and evolved random soul can tune into our frequency by intent or accident and pass on information that is of use to keep a living soul safe.
Family & Friends
In my experience family and friends who have passed have never been instructed to be, nor have ever been a Guide to those I help. The family members and friends give me the “gossip” and what is happening for them or you from the other side, but they do not give the large scale direction of events that will be in your life - more the family ins and outs of what is happening and has happened for you. They will meet you once you have passed over and are with your Guides for a good old catch-up and I have found that family and friends will pop in and out constantly from our lives.
Animal Guides
For me, Animal Guides are more in line with the faiths that believe in this structure. I have never actually spent time with an Animal Guide but have had many present as a representation to my client or student and this has had deep relevance to the person having a reading or in their learning cycles. Animal Guides have the full capabilities of Spirit Guides.
One final interesting observation for me is that in all the years I have been teaching and working with spirit, the one standout for me is that people who work very strongly with Angels and Saints have a tendency to take a lot longer to learn to experience communication with their Guides. I believe it is because their system is geared up in thinking that Spirit – as represented by Angels and Saints - is only there to protect and love, not to communicate as Guides do.
I do believe in many other forms of beings that are here to help shape our lives, but I work with and have always worked with my Spirit Guides because I find they are a stable, strong frequency that is always moving me forward and is able to most directly and quickly help you when you seek my guidance via my website readings, my channelling sessions or via my courses.
