I receive many questions about the existence of negative energy and the possibility for people to cast it upon you so that it impedes your plans, progress and success. I have addressed this topic before but felt the need to do so again because it comes up time and again on our chat line, Facebook and in our courses. The email below from a client completely captures the perceptions about negative energy and I hope the answer from Elizabeth, my highest guide, helps you if feel you have been burdened or affected by negative energy, just as it helped her.
Elizabeth also shares some amazing thoughts for all of us about the power we hold for ourselves in our lives.
Hi Julianna, Hope you’re doing well. You have done a wonderful reading for me a few months ago and you told me to go for it and pursue my dreams of designing (via a career as assistant/fashion buyer, etc.) I thought I would, I felt confident, but since then I just did not go for anything. I feel stuck and lost and like a failure. But I’m not doing anything to change it. I loved your previous blog about choices being up to us and that we determine our lives. But two psychics have already told me that someone put negative energy (wanting to take my luck??) on me and as much as I try to think that it does not affect me, it makes me angry and I keep complaining and keep blaming that for putting a halt on my life. It’s foolish, but sometimes it feels so real and I break down and cry, feeling like I have somehow lost a part of my life. I have tried meditation, prayer, and imagining that there is a clear light around me, a shield of protection, etc. and sometimes it works wonderfully but other times I feel silly, or I get sad, and then I doubt that it works and give up. Do you have any other suggestions, other practices (lighting candles, etc.) that can help? Is it all in my head? And when is it time to just seek out professional help (medicine or a therapist)? I would love if you could possibly address this in one of your blogs at some point. It might be helpful to others. Sincerely, A
Elizabeth’s Response
My Child, It is I Elizabeth, Julianna’s Highest Guidance. Let us first address the fact that you are not actioning your life. By your own self admission you are not moving forward. This is because you are not sure of who you are and what you want from your life, as well as the fact that you are feeling low within your self worth.
This feeling is not an energy from Spirit but a Human energy created through your own life experience and the family and community you were raised within. We as Spirit cannot help you with this as you must seek those experienced in assisting you in understanding why you have these holds and beliefs about yourself.
As I consult with other Guides on your comments about other seers giving you the supposed answer on why such lack of fortune is around you, we as Guides are concerned that you have taken this level (or lack of developed level) of information on board in your life, person and capabilities.
You see my child, these seers are working with energy and emotion and I do not feel they are working with the higher order. As such they deliver emotional information that is more so designed to have you in thrall rather than have you ambitious with your plans. Should you choose to challenge such a low level of information, you would realise that they could not name the “whom” or “why” you were delivered of such bad fortune.
In essence, as a High Guide, I feel I can both comfortably and confidently tell you that you may now let this information go as it not only has no truth to it, it is merely dangerous ramblings of those who clone their fortune from Spirit.
You have not lost part of your life, you simply never had a compass to follow from the first step. Meditation, prayer and such will not help this as this as this is not a Spiritual ailment of any type - rather it is a human ailment in the way you view yourself.
Advice For All of Us From Elizabeth
So some thoughts for you:
- Understand that the only power a soul has over another soul is the power we surrender to this soul;
- Understand that you as an individual must seek low and high how to improve your position in life - without vigilant, constant action naught will occur;
- Understand that as you were born into this world, so you were gifted the strength to live in it. So use this strength;
- Understand that you are unique to your brothers and sisters and as such you should define and shine in this difference;
- Understand that Spirit is here to work with you - never against you as this is not the Universal Law;
- Understand that you must define what it is that you honestly know you are not suited to do, be or have and as such work around this;
- Most of all know and understand that in Spirit we are helpless to help if you believe one minute then leave this belief the next minute, or when you feel that we as Spirit are not doing things the way you as a Human expect.

Negative energy, curses etc only have power if you give them power but I see people let the concept of this affect them all the time. You control your thoughts and actions - no-one else.
