Julianna always gets asked how communicating with your Guides can help you. Given that she has always been able to do it and I am a newcomer to the process as well as Julianna’s business partner, we thought it best that I answer this.
Sometimes I think that if we could buy shares in companies called “Self-Doubt”, “ Lack of Confidence” and “Live in Fear” the stockmarket would never crash because so many of us would be invested in it! While some of us would trade the shares occasionally, I think it’s fair to say that most of us would not only own shares in it, we would be constantly buying more.
Which is odd, don’t you think, when you look at the options, opportunities and choices available to all of us in this lifetime? There is so much available to us that really, none of us should have room for self-doubt, lack of confidence or fear because we should always be able to find something or someone that makes us feel strong and confident. So why don’t we?
I can’t answer for anyone but me. Learning to communicate with my Guides has given my intuition a voice. It’s my not-so-secret weapon because our mission is to share it as much as possible. As a result, it has increased my trust in myself and my belief in my future.
But my truth is that my intuition has to be about me – making the decision that I will trust my Guides to deliver me intuitive insight when it is needed; following the intuitive messages when I get them via meditation, inspired thought or gut reaction; and knowing that in using my intuition for my benefit, it will benefit those around me because I am being true to myself.
I have always been intuitive but in the past I have not always followed my intuition for a myriad of reasons: I have not wanted to hurt someone, I have wanted to make others happy, I have said I would do something even when I felt that I shouldn’t, I have succumbed to the pressure others have placed on me, I have bought into a situation in order to fit in – need I go on?
One of the strongest intuitive reactions I have ever had to a situation was when I formally met with Julianna for the first time. A few days earlier she had tapped me on the shoulder at a cafe and interrupted a meeting I was having to ask me if I was in marketing and PR – I was - because she needed help with a live show and her Guides had told her to ask me.
After briefly exchanging details that afternoon we arranged to meet at her apartment a few days later and as I sat there talking to Julianna I had the strongest feeling that despite my logic saying ‘what am I getting into here?’ my gut/intuition was saying ‘you have to roll with this’.
I’ve only ever had the same feeling as strongly once before in my life and it was on my first date with my husband (despite the fact that he wouldn’t let me get a word in!) While there have been stresses, challenges and doubts in both of these relationships, for a myriad of different reasons and through changes that have occurred to all of us over the years, overwhelmingly my intuition continues to confirm that my decision to listen to my Guides or inner voice was the right one due to the love, reward and joy I get from both relationships in very different ways.
When I haven’t listened to my Guides the cost has been high. Another strong reaction occurred a couple of years ago when our former business partner first changed his telephone message to include the name of a different business venture he was also involved with. My gut literally churned when I was diverted to his voice message that day but I convinced myself that I was being too judgemental – turns out it was the reason that Julianna and I would no longer remain in business with him down the track. I should have listened and acted.
I have found that the only way to test your intuition and communication with your Guides is to put it into practice. It’s when we don’t follow it that the penalties we pay highlight how much benefit it brings when we follow it.
You also can’t use or trust your intuition if you don’t take the responsibility to action things in your life. I have sat in many channelling sessions now and listened as people getting messages direct from spirit keep questioning and questioning the messages – either on their first visit or during repeat visits – but fail to take action in their life and then feel cheated by spirit or us as deliverers of the message.
If you take the step to communicate with your Guides – either via a reading, channelling session, Guidance course or meditation – it is because you want or need something to change. Please give yourself the grace to really hear the message and acknowledge that a change has to occur – but only you can make an active choice to instigate this. Inaction is still a choice, but I think it is unfair to blame your decision to be inactive or reactive on your Guides or spirit.
To sum up, communicating with my Guides means that:
- I trust myself – even with the occasional doubt – I trust who I am, where I am going and the people around me;
- I am vigilant of my trust of others – and accountable for the actions I take and decisions I make;
- I try to be more consistent – even though life with a 5 month old means some crazy mood swings thanks to sleep-deprivation, knowing that I am on track with my decision-making and direction means that the highs and lows of doubt are smoothed out – still there sometimes – but smoothed out;
- I voice my intuition – and it feels great to not stifle it for any reason;
- I am learning not to come from fear – still learning because it’s a familiar place, but if your Guides are there to help short-cut a road of hardship why not get their help?
- I know who should and shouldn’t be in my life – there have been those around me who don’t like me being comfortable with where I’m at, but they don’t play an active role in my life anymore, and I trust my Guides and myself to manage that.
